Custom fields
Custom fields let you record additional details on mail conversations, cards, customers and companies, for example a customer number, a device type or a contract end date. The fields appear in the relevant forms of the agent interface and, if you choose, in the customer portal too. Only admins can see this page.
Where to find the page
Section titled “Where to find the page”Administration › Settings › Custom fields › “Custom fields”. The page opens on the “Mail conversations” tab.

Page layout
Section titled “Page layout”At the top, you switch between the tabs “Mail conversations”, “Cards”, “Customers” and “Companies”. Each tab has its own field list and is saved separately.
- “New custom field”: click a field type. The new field is added at the bottom of “Existing custom fields”, expanded and ready to fill in.
- “Existing custom fields”: a table with label, field key, type and properties. “Edit field” expands a row. “Expand all” and “Collapse all” apply to the whole list. “Move up” and “Move down” change the order, and “Remove” archives a field.
- “Save” writes the tab’s complete list. Incomplete fields are reported with “One field is incomplete – the affected row has been expanded.”
